The University of Kentucky (UK) Lung Transplant Program seeks a Surgical Director of Lung Transplant to lead its program, make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of patients and their families, and offer a renewed sense of hope for a healthier future. The incoming Surgical Director will lead three lung transplant surgeons and six transplant pulmonologists as part of an experienced, successful transplant team. This is an excellent opportunity to be a leader for the state's largest transplant center and change the healthcare landscape in Kentucky.

  • The center offers single-lung and double-lung transplants for adults and children with a variety of life-limiting lung diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, coal worker pneumoconiosis, pulmonary hypertension, and sarcoidosis
