oversee the sales operations in the USA, driving sales strategy and
leading the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Your
leadership will be instrumental in expanding our market presence,
cultivating strong relationships with key clients, and driving
sales towards success.Key responsibilities will include:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy Development: Develop and execute a
comprehensive sales strategy across North America, aligned with the
company's goals and objectives.
- Lead market analysis: Guide efforts to identify trends,
opportunities, and challenges, adapting strategies as needed, to
develop all territories. Develop benchmarks with competitors,
acquire information on their value propositions.
- Team Management & Development: Lead, motivate, and manage a
high-performing sales team, setting clear sales targets and KPIs.
Ensure continuous team development through training and mentorship,
promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong,
long-lasting client relationships. Understand client needs and
market demands, offering technology solutions that enhance customer
satisfaction and loyalty.
- Partners Management: Establish, maintain, or terminate
relationships with agents for specific territories, through the
territories managers.
- Revenue Growth & Market Expansion: Drive sustainable financial
growth by boosting sales and establishing strong relationships with
new and existing customers. Identify and develop new market
opportunities across North America.
- Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with the Marketing,
Product Development, and Customer Service teams to ensure a
cohesive and comprehensive approach to market expansion and
customer management.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly review sales performance
against targets, providing detailed reports to senior management,
and adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure goals are met or
exceeded.
- Negotiation strategies: Support Salespeople in preparing
negotiations, leveraging prices, conditions, and technical
solutions to acquire the business.
- Product development: Collaborate with marketing and
international product development teams to develop effective sales
and promotional materials.
- Budget and Forecasts: Collaborate with upper management in
defining annual sales budget and update forecasts quarterly.
- Pipeline: Develop and manage the sales budget and pipeline,
ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve desired
outcomes.
- Personnel Management: Oversee the US sales network, determining
wages, commissions; manage hiring and terminations in cooperation
with HR.
- CRM/CPQ: Being proficient in the use of the company CRM/CPQ
tools and supporting Salespeople in their correct utilization.The
ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with at least 7-10
years of sales management experience, preferably in the automation
industry.
- Previous Sales Management responsibility in a high technology
sales environment, with performance management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire
and motivate a sales team to achieve goals.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Deep understanding of the North American market dynamics for
manufacturing and automation.
- Deep understanding of customer base.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written
communications skills a must, ability in negotiations.
- Transparent style and a willingness to appropriately explain
difficult issues; ability to think quickly.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and
tasks.
- Sound business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the
ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Previous experience accurately forecasting and reporting on
territory/account activity.
- Ability to work independently and also in a structured,
disciplined sales environment.
- Ability to travel across North America.Education &
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree - 4-year College/University degree or
equivalent experience preferred.
- Field of Study: Engineering, Business, Sales/Marketing, or
similar.
- Formal training in consultative sales techniques and experience
with sales methodology and CRM.
