Job Description:
A company is looking for a Sr Director of Philanthropic
Partnerships to drive the development of philanthropic partnerships
that support local journalism.
Key Responsibilities
Establish partnerships with philanthropic and non-profit
organizations to fund projects for local newsrooms
Directly solicit contributions and manage communications with
partners and funders
Lead a team to identify and execute on philanthropic funding
opportunities and streamline grant processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in journalism or a related field, or
equivalent experience
At least five years of experience in development, grant writing,
and administration
At least five years of experience managing teams
Demonstrated success in running a P&L and achieving financial
goals
Background in local journalism with existing relationships with
philanthropic organizations is preferred
