About the facility A facility is seeking a cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant for locum tenens coverage. About the facility location While in northern Indiana, explore the Indiana Dunes, play at the casinos, or find treasures along The Heritage Trail! About the clinician's workday The clinician will work from 7:30am-4:30pm, with a schedule of 7 days on and 14 days off, with a 1:3 shared call for overnight OR needs. The role is 85% inpatient and 15% outpatient, working directly with 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers. Key responsibilities include co-managing pre/post-surgery care for hospital patients, assisting with triage needs, first-assisting in the OR, performing endoscopic vein harvesting, managing chest tubes and wounds, and performing thoracentesis and arterial lines.
