Job Description:
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is
recruiting a Director of our Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)
program at the University of Kentucky. Our clinics serve as a
quaternary referral center for patients with a variety of ILD
diagnoses drawn from a wide catchment area at the UK HealthCare
Main Campus, rated the Hospital in the Region by US News and World
Report. Our team includes physicians with expertise in evaluating
and managing patients with these diagnoses, a dedicated PharmD
associated with our University Specialty Pharmacy, a nurse
coordinator, and APPs. Our ILD team works closely with our
Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, the University s Lung
Transplantation program, interventional pulmonologists and thoracic
surgeons, and we hold regular Multidisciplinary Conference Meetings
which include representatives from Rheumatology, Chest Radiology,
and Pulmonary Pathology. The ILD program is a member of the
Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundations Care Center Network and the
Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research s Global Clinic Alliance.The
ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and experience with
ILD, evidence of educational and/or research accomplishments within
the field of ILD, be board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and
qualify at the Associate Professor level or above. Candidates will
be responsible for attending on the inpatient consult service
and/or Medical ICUs if boarded in Critical Care, attend ILD clinics
and will have protected time to serve as director of the ILD
clinic. Salaries are commensurate with experience. UK HealthCare is
