Job Description:

The IT Director is focused on the acquisition, development, maintenance, and integration of technology infrastructure. This includes the functionality of the website(s), database(s), phone system(s), any Party-owned technology deployed in the field, and any other technology needed for Party operations. The IT Director will also create and manage an IT budget, and review and change the division's organizational structure and/or members as needed, in order to meet Party goals.Required Qualifications:

• Contributing member of the National LP
• Member of the State LP
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent industry experience (6+ years) in IT systems, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
• Excellent communication, writing, & organization skills
• Team builder and team player
• Reliable hard-wire Internet access
• Smartphone with unlimited data access
• Personal laptop and reliable mobile internet access
• Attend weekly or bi-weekly Director conference calls (weekday evenings or weekends)
• Attend periodic Executive Committee meetings (typically in Columbus on Saturdays)Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with the currently in-use technology solutions of the Party
  • Operational experience with IT in highly regulated (HIPAA/HITECH, PCI-DSS, DoD, ITAR, etc.) environments
  • Database, email server, website design, development, and management experience
  • Previous experience with building an IT organizationThis is a volunteer position with the Libertarian Party of Ohio.
