Job Overview

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and services. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will provide safe, comfortable, and effective dialysis treatment to patients with renal failure.

Key Responsibilities

Providing patient care: You will work directly with patients to gather vital signs, initiate treatment, monitor patients during treatment, terminate treatment, and collect patient blood samples as per physician orders. Ensuring quality and safety: You will prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, clean and disinfect machines after treatment, and conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control. You will also follow all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. Participating in continuing education: You will participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with the following qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in healthcare, particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Ability to mix acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date.
