GENERAL
FUNCTION:
Responsible for managing full life cycle of
complex IT projects, including project planning, execution and
functionality. Uses expertise and leadership skills to direct
project team, resolve project issues and ensure project goals and
requirements are met. Plays a key role as the lead contributor on
projects and provides tactical input to the
project.
Candidate should be self-motivated and be
able to take initiative to progress projects forward. Responsible
for managing multiple projects at one time. Requires strong
leadership skills and a focus on project management soft skills
(e.g. Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
facilitation, negotiation within all levels of the organization,
problem solving, and conflict management). Candidate expected to
matrix manage across multiple locations, products and functions.
Role requires a proven team player with the ability to
partner, maintain and develop relationships.
The position is on the
Technical/Professional ladder at level 4 in the Project Management
discipline.
DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Works with business partners to ensure all proper
requirements and supporting development deliverables are accounted
for and well documented.
2. Ability to
define and manage expectations while leading multiple concurrent
projects / programs
3. Ensures
that the project complies with IT Project Life Cycle
methodology.
4. Facilitates project team meetings, manages agendas and meeting
minutes, and tracks action items to ensure all project tasks and
goals are being accomplished as expected.
5. Ensures
that resources assigned to the project have all the tools and
information needed to perform their project tasks.
6. Delegates assignments to other staff members when
applicable.
7. Monitors
issues within projects and assists in resolving project
conflicts.
8. Develops
project schedules, work assignments, target dates and other aspects
of assigned projects.
9. Reviews
project estimate
