Job Description:
GENERAL FUNCTION: Assists the deposit fraud
manager in developing and implementing the fraud
detection/prevention program, including design of workflow and
supervision of staff. Assists in the development of policies and
procedures related to fraud detection. Work in concert with Bank
Protection Investigators and Fraud Analysts to identify fraud
trends and patterns. Fraud Supervisor must have in-depth
understanding of regulatory requirements related to fraud
detection/investigations, including Suspicious Activity Reports,
USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Reg CC and FACTA as well as
expertise/understanding of fraud detection/investigation concepts
and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assists the deposit fraud manager in developing and implementing
the fraud detection/prevention program.
* Supervises a team of fraud analysts who review fraud detection
software to identify and report potential suspicious/fraudulent
activity. Provides direction in the investigation and evaluation of
suspicious activity.
* Assists in the development of fraud detection tactical and
strategic planning.
* Assists in the development of training programs as well as
policies and procedures for the department.
* Reviews statistical analysis reports to determine system and
staff efficiency.
* Establishes fraud detection performance metrics.
* Serve as a liaison with Information Technology in the
development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of fraud
detection systems.
* Communicates significant issues to management; makes
recommendations when weaknesses are identified.
* Interacts with bank examiners and/or internal auditors in
reviewing the Bank''s fraud detection program. Addresses and
corrects issues raised in audits and exams.
* Works fraud queues, as needed.
* Assumes additional responsibilities and leads special projects as
assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees
timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing
employees to their fullest potential and providing challenging
opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the
appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and
succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for
accomplishments.
